Filmmaker & Artist

I work as a filmmaker, director of photography and artist from Germany. My latest films made it to national and international festivals. I am not stuck and ready for any creative adventures. Let’s keep moving.

I am based in Wuppertal and Berlin with a network from Cologne all over NRW to Brandenburg. But I will travel wherever you need me to tell a visual story.

PHOENIX

„Phoenix“ is my debut short form documentary. It’s a portrait about Markus Reuss, a professional BMX-rider from Germany. Markus and me were friends for more than ten years when he fell victim to a dangerous assault. Dealing with fragility, anger and pain we created this 13 minute tribute to life, BMX and family. „Phoenix“ made it to several filmfestivals and became part of diverse schooling programms.

LA FORCE

coming soon … „La Force“ is the result of being lost along the atlantic coast. This film documents my journey into the world of surfing in an abstract way. It features people I met along that journey with their very own ideas and perspectives. I am a rookie in surfing and as a completely new environment the ocean appears as a untouched source of inspiration and creativity. „La Force“ didn’t need to go anywhere specific but served me as a playground for new approaches.

MEDIOCRE

This is an filmic essay featuring eight musicians talking about their dreams and fears. It is a film about finding balance between following your dreams as an artist and the need to earn money while doing so. It is about finding peace in your creation. This was as much of a journey as it was an experiment, merging all of our thoughts into one medium that this film is.

„Mediocre“ premiered in Wuppertal in June of 2022 staging all of its artists in one evening and opening several exciting dialogues about why we do what we do.

LET’S FADE AWAY

This one deals with growing up and the feeling of losing a loved one. It’s about moving on – or not moving on but fading away in memories.
